I am the Product Design (UX) Lead for Uplight’s Orchestrated Energy product line, working to empower utility customers with the resources they need to make savvy, deliberate choices about their energy usage. A refugee from the world of digital advertising, I combine over a decade of consumer marketing expertise with a passion for user experience to craft intuitive products that drive impact.
Product design pays the bills, but my freelance side-hustle gives me the chance to stretch my creative muscles helping deserving organizations and small businesses establish or grow their presence online. A throwback to my early days as a starving designer at a boutique web shop and arts non-profit, my freelance work keeps me engaged with the parts of design that I love most: investing in clients’ outcomes, and solving real business problems.
When I’m not working, I stay grounded by volunteering with my husband on a STEM outreach program for a school in nearby Longmont, CO. From branding the program to putting a flourish on educational materials and producing fun add-ons to support the material taught in class, I’ve had a blast with the endless opportunities that this program presents.
I moved to Boulder for the mountains, not the tech scene, so in my free time I am outdoors as much as possible. My misadventures are documented on instagram and my blog.
